Ravetalk is an online magazine and community that celebrates modern rave culture, with an emphasis on the less commercial end of the scene.

Although everyone loves the old skool, of course, Ravetalk focuses on the music, people and vibes of today rather than selling cheesy props or getting all misty-eyed about how things were better “back in the day”.

It grew out of a messageboard called GladeTalk, which was (and, under its new name, still is) one of the biggest and busiest unofficial forums for Glade Festival. The Glade is still very dear to our hearts, it’s what brought us all together and we still have a good relationship with festival insiders to bring you all the latest news and gossip.

But we’ve branched out a bit since then into other festivals, club nights (particularly Bang Face) and parties that cover the same sorts of genres (techno, breaks, psy-trance, drum & bass, IDM, mashcore etc) or share The Glade’s anti-corporate ethos and “party vibe”. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and welcoming to newcomers, so come on in and spout the usual forum rubbish. 🙂

Founded in 2005 by a journalist with many years of experience in the national news media, Ravetalk is usually the first to break major stories on the Glade Festival and the related music scene.

We’d like to build on that success by expanding the editorial pages of the site. If you’d like to submit any reviews, interviews, features or photographs that you think may be of interest, please use the contact form.
