This is true, as I was told there would be a few hundred held back in a telephone conversation with one of the Glade directors on Monday. The thing is that I wasn't sure that was meant for public consumption (should have asked! doh!), especially as it seemed to contradict what another organiser told us a while back.

But obviously if Tony has published it, then it was meant to be public. My bad.

An email from the organisers a while back stated that they weren't keeping any back to prevent touting this year. I think they're just trusting eBay to do the honourable thing instead.

I know. But obviously they've either changed their minds now or that email was an example of the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing, as SiCo has touched on before.

Whatever was said back then, there are a few extra tickets held back now, I've spoken to one of the organisers direct about it.

And relying on eBay to do the honourable thing re touts would be like relying on Dracula to run a blood bank.

the tickets were on sale for ages

if the organisers dont announce the line up until we get there then teh demand wont go up so there's no reason for the touts to make any money.

is there?

Must admit there doesn't seem a lot of point in a big anti-tout clampdown now. But what do we care? We've all got tickets anyway. :)
