After you've been to a few you buy a sensible one.

totally .... I havent been on for a while, and the brain is now all back to normal ( if my brain ever was ) ... I didnt bring wellies, so a bit of trench foot was had, but I must say this Glade was absolutly amazing ....

im 42 - been to 9 glastos and many many other festi's - i must have been particularily off my head this time, my missus says if i wear it outside the house she'll divorce me which i think is a bit harsh

thru adversity we laughed back at the elements and raved on! excuse the pun

i cant belive how much fun it turned out to be, not in a sense of making a vain attempt to justify my travelling from belfast and money spent at it, but i really did have sooooo much fun! there was a strong 10/12 group of us, and not one of us let teh smile drop teh whole weekend

such a testament to the event for everyone to get on with it and make the most of what was on offer, cant fvckeen wait til next year!

when we got there on thurs afternoon and were setting up b4 the deluge we heard a faint cheer in distance and it got closer till we all joined in the mexican cheer goin round the site, it disappeared off and then circled back round several times, wikkid, that sums up the glade vibe for me, pure smiles

But 2007 was an amazing achievement by punters & organisers alike

It was only my second Glade - and the best festival I've been to by a country mile. I just could not stop laughing at our ridiculous situation and surroundings. My camp chair remained dry and unstolen, which was a massive bonus, I managed to get wellies at Joe Bananas on Friday morning (very very wet, quite miserable, but then I dried myself out and everything got better), the food was amazing (I swear there was more - and better - meaty things at this year's fest) and yes - I even loved VSnares's set. I don't care he didn't play for long enough - he dropped some Hungarian album! That made my weekend.

And for all those who've posted how they "can't rave in wellies" - you're not trying hard enough!

Right well my glade sory goes a bit like this:

Got there Thursday with my mates, met up with some people off here and another board I sometimes use....had a fucking blast...was a superb night. THen the rain came!!!!!

Spent the whole morning in my tent praying for the rain to go off....this was the worst bit of the festival for me, sitting waiting while thunder dtorm after thunderstorm went by, I just wanted to get out and dance my tits off!

Anyway headed down to find things were not as they should be with rivers running through the site etc.....and no Dreadzone.....to top it off my mates fucked off to a Travellodge without me....not that I would have went anyway! Spent the day with the lovely Shakyjane from here wandering from Breaks tent to main stage, but mainly we were at the Breaks tent.....had a fuckin superb day and night...one of the best Ive ever had at Glade.

Saturday came and my mates returned with wellies .....raved at the Origin stage from about 6ish til midnight, and had an amazing time.....then the strangest thing happened....i just could not get into any of the music after this......nothing excited me at all, I was up for it, it was really weird though I just could not get into it at all!

Anyway sunday came i spent all afternoon with a load of people I know....had a great afternoon...saw a bit of Squarepusher, who I have never seen the major fascination everyone seems to have with him, then went to see Green Nuns Of The Revelotion, which was good, but sound was appalling.

Anyway to cap it all off I had a fucking amazing time.....probably the best I've had at Glade!

A couple of irritations, sound and getting off the site, but none of that made the festival a bad one. I dont agree that the organisers should be patting themsleves on the back over the issue of sound, but there again it didnt spoil the festival!

Anyway, my wife is pregnant, and I reckon my Glade days are numbered, also thinking about something new next year, as I feel I've done Glade to death now.....but we'll see!!!

I have a lot of respect for those who seem to be galvanised by the weather at Glade and love revelling in the knee-deep mud. 2007 was my first Glade, so I have nothing to compare it to but personally, I couldn't escape the feeling that it would be so much better without all the mud & rain. I still had a good time but feel I missed out on so much. I always imagined Glade being a massive party that started at the gates and was just as lively outside the tents as inside, but struggling through the mud on a friday afternoon I found nothing but the odd person trudging from one place of shelter to the next. People only seemed to be outside when they absolutely needed to. I know this wasn't the case all the time and things really picked up on saturday but we spent a lot of time sat in our tent drying stuff out rather than sitting in the sun, soaking in the atmosphere with a big billydooooo...

I didn't help the situation with my cavalier "i'll survive without" stubborn attitute to forking out £15 for wellies. I finally gave in on the saturday night at the point where I was having to retrieve my shoes from the mud by hand after every step - lesson learned. I also felt like a bit of an idiot after surviving the entire weekend without falling over in the mud only to celebrate - and swiftly end - this success with a balloon standing up outside the breaks tent.

I'll be praying for sun next year - but with a pair of wellies and twice the amount clothes strapped firmly to my back, just in case.

What a weekend. Picked up Kerry from Slough and then never her again after arriving (sorry!!). We managed to co-ordinate arrivals with 3 other groups of people so we managed to bag a huge space and ended up with about 10 tents about Overkill/Vapor stage. We had no river and noone nicked our chairs from under the gazebo which is was very very impressed with. I ran into so many friends (including my mum's goddaughter who I haven't seen for like 4 years).

Origin stage did it for me - AMD, Broken Toy, Tristan and the 'Moller on the Glade stage. His lighting and production was just RIDICULOUS. Found no problems with the sound, much as I wanted to go into Overkill after everyone here banging on about it I found it way too busy and lasted about 5 minutes in there.

Thought that the stalls and the food were excellent, although I'd expected the food to be a little cheaper. Had problems with the water points - never ever saw one, but luckily we'd bought loads with us so used that instead. Loos were as to be expected (it's a festival)- fairly skanky but found if you put your hoody over your mouth and nose and stand on the sides of the loo all was okay. Met some wicked people in the cashpoint queue so didn't mind that - go with someone else and do shifts in the queue people!! It makes sense.

As for the rain.....If it had carried on raining I would have been miserable, but didn't mind the mud at all. We'd bought wellies and waterproofs with us (fairly obvious items to bring during solid-rain-for-a-month do you not think?!). Thought the organisers did an amazing job - freak weather conditions, they still managed to pull off an amazing festival, even if all didn't go to plan.

Gutted I didn't come and find anyone from GT - honestly coudln't remember the flag or where the site was. My boyf only told me he knew on Monday as we left. Smooth. Basc I had an immense weekend, loved every second and can't wait for the next one!!!
