why the need for 2 psy-trance tents?

there is one breaks
one house
the littlebig for fucked up electronica
main dance which gets a bit from everything

but 2 psy-trance tents?

when it could have easily been a techno tent, for instance.

think i can answer that one mate, the original aim of the festival was to set up a legal outdoor psy trance event in the uk, as the uk didnt have any others, hence two psy tents

oh yeah? what do they play then?

folk or jazz?

they play psy trance and alterations of it.. nothing to warrant another stage.

The people who organise the Glade like psy-trance. A lot.

It's basically a psy-trance festival that branched out into a few more genres last year.

yes yes, but isnt the origin stage huge?

is it going to be like last year's? that huge (very nice) outdoor stage.. cause that was quite enough for all the psy trancers

I'd rather have a techno tent too...

However...

I heard em playin a bit of Breaks and techno.... but on the whole it was mostly psy trance.

But the point of the tent was to give the free party scene a legal outlet.

fair enuff.

Jeez, xkejjer, first you moan about the lineup, now you're moaning about the fact that a festival that has always been largely based around psy-trance has two psy-trance arenas. Now that was public knowledge long before the tickets went on sale... :D

Yeah a second psy tent is ridiculous when you could have a stomping country tent instead... I bet there won't be a single Garth Brooks tune played all weekend :(

they NEED a jungle/dnb/drill n bass/jungletek outdoor stage. replace it with the origin outside stage, and have it hosted by the Origin FM posse (london's best dnb/jungle station).

Or maybe someone could just organise a jungle/dnb/drill n bass/jungletek festival?

The Glade is always going to have a sizeable amount of psy whether we like it or not, that's the nature of the beast. Coming to Glade and complaining about too much psy is like going on a trip to Berlin and complaining about too many Germans being there.

Personally, I'd love to have a techno tent there too, cos techno has always been my baby. But the psy trance thing doesn't bother me at all. I hate the genre, but I had a good bop at the origin stage a few times last year cos the buzz was so good. The vibes can sometimes override the music itself.
