Glade 2008

Postby Grillo on 27 Jul 2007, 19:05

Hello,

Well, after we proved to the Gods that we will not lay down in the face of adversity last weekend I'm already thinking about next years bash. Only 51 weeks to go everyone! I think that after the extreme conditions last weekend we should build an Arc for next years event. If everyone could bring two of each animal that would be fantastic. I reckon maybe get the infamous 'Noah' to headline on the Glade Stage and it may actually out do the success of this years party.

But in all seriousness, Glade 2007 was absolutely brilliant. Everyone I spoke to was on a high despite everything thrown in the way of the festi. My sodden hat goes off to the organisers for keeping everything going. Many parties would have stopped at the first hurdle but Glade went the full 9 yards. 2004, 2005 & 2006 were blessed with perfect weather making Glade renowned for nothing but the best. However, strange as this may sound, 2007 will be the most memorable Glade, probably even more so than 2008, 2009 and so on. Unless we have further freak weather conditions. Who knows, maybe next year there'll be a tornado or even an earthquake?? I will stop there as I do not wish to tempt fate.

All I have left to say is THANK YOU GLADE for another tremendous party! Please don't stop doing what you do because you do it best! Does anyone have any suggestions for next years line up??

I reckon, get Dreadzone back again and again and again, they are awesome. I would go into more details about who I'd like to play but I suppose it is a little too soon to start naming names having not even fully recovered from last weeks shinanigans.

Whoop!

I hope they wouldn't decide to "wait until 2pm", if we were in the middle of a 14 hour earthquake.

Difficult enough to balance in the mud, what with all the wobble dust and all...

In that case, wait until the official announcement. You might recall that there was a bit of uncertainty about the dates at one stage earlier this year. First we were told it would absolutely, definitely be the weekend of the 21st, then there was a change of heart and it was 50-50 whether it would be the 21st or the 14th, then it was the 21st after all.

Only 349 days to go.

Unofficially! The dates won't be decided for definite until early next year, so don't book your time off on the strength of this, OK?

Bumping for Jemo. :wackyhat:

In other words, the homepage is updated slightly (including a new countdown started).
