man, i've managed to miss cylob the last 2 years... hope he's gonna be here again this year.

and psytrance is great music. granted, the origin stage lineup was a bit samey last year, but it's not all that sound, and there's some seriously good stuff on at the liquid stage this year. they could do with halving the number of nano artists on at the origin stage, but that's probaly not gonna happen as nano sort the stage out, and they're gonna want to put their own acts up for that.

reckon meshing a bit of techno in there wouldn't go amiss though, although a whole stage of bang bang bang techno would get way more samey imho.

I was talking to Richie Hawtin the last time he played here in Dublin and he told me that himself and the m-nus crew were definitely playing. Looks like it's gonna be the fri or sun night.

More likely the Friday night, I reckon. That's when the other techno legends are playing and Sunday finished early, like 8pm.

So much stuff I want to see on the Friday night though. It looks like the techno legends in main dance versus the Plumps and Krafty Kuts in Breaksday. Totally torn there. :(

i think a techno tent is a great idea and needed, with three days it could cover all aspects of techno from the click click whirly bleep stuff all the way through to acid techno. So there's no reason it has to be bang bang bang all the time (not all techno is 4/4)

having said that it looks like there will be much more this year so it's all good

I struggle to, so am just wondering.

Nothing wrong with bangin' 4/4, wish we had it all weekend. ;)

You can dance to anything if you listen for the beats.
You could dance to a tumble dryer if you put a brick in it.
It'd fuck your tumble dryer up, but you could dance.

I feel your pain (although I'd probably be lynched by my mates if I chose the plumps over Hawtin). If it is any consolation, DJ Hyper is playing late on the Saturday night so at least you can check him out.

Doesn't look like it will be the fri. According to the m-nus website, they are all playing elsewhere that night. The only blank date for all of them is the sun. Is Hawtin going to wrap up the festival again between 6-8? I was kinda hopin he'd have a prime 2-4am slot on the fri/sat night.

In some respects this will be a shame, I'd love Hawtin and crew to get a primetime Fri/Sat slot. However, at least it reduces the number of conflicts for Friday night which is looking very crowded. I'm definitely gonna be running around like a maniac between different tents (not that I'm complaining or anything :D - better to be torn between two good sets than having nothing you want to see!).

Must say I'd prefer Hawtin on the Friday but Friday night is looking incredibly overpacked as it is. Not keen on the Sunday slots, though, as it finishes too soon. Oh well.
