Do we know if there's gonna be any of this scene represented at Glade this year? I bloody hope so - but I doubt it. Could be ace in the littlebig tent i reckon.

virus syndicate were heavy last year so maybe there'll be some grime this year. i'd love to see someone like the plastician there... doubt they'll get any of the big mcs though; if they're only booking one dnb act because it's the "wrong vibe" (i.e more than 5 black people might turn up) for glade they're not going to book any decent grime mcs.

:? what? what a stupid thing to say

There might be a lot of dicks into dnb but I'm pretty sure no one is thinking "oh shit we might get some black people there if we have some dnb". it's always groups of white lads who think they are hard that cause problems anyway (in my expeirience)

you fool

it was a joke.

when i worked at glade the first year i spoke to 2 black guys who were saying that they felt proper uncomfortable and intimidated by being literally the only black faces there. it's definitely the whitest event i've ever been to.

Vex'd & Virus Syndicate are rumoured but there's nowhere near enough bashment boogie for my liking, bit of grim fm action with sum spaceape chatter needed. Team Shadetek, New flesh, Boxcutter and Burial have all got new albums to promote so fingers crossed...

Hmmm i wasn't thinking so much grime mc's more like some of the awesome producers of late such as Skream, Burial, Digital Mystikz, Vex'd, Kode 9 etc etc... or anyone on the hyperdub or tempa labels for that matter. There's less of the aggressive mc styling and more of the sinister futuristic dubby beats and soundscapes... wonderful. There's been so many amazing dubstep 12's of late... "Skreamism Vol. 1" is immense.

And Vex'd are confirmed (well, self-confirmed anyway), not just rumoured.

I thought that was Glastonbury. Must admit I don't remember all that many non-white faces at Glade thinking back, but I wasn't going around counting anyway.

He could have just worn a very small purple figleaf.
