Can you see a link on their website, Smiffy? I know you're looking through the actual paper but wondered if you'd seen it.

That site's search engine is only coming up with old pages. :(

There well may be an update to the sites content within the next few days. I will keep checking for the article

I think the organisers done really well to keep the festival going after all the rain and the site being turned into a complete mud pit. Everyone who is complaining should stop and think about the poor people who lived near by who had their homes wrecked because of the water....
I will deffinatley be coming back to glade and to be honest I kinda miss stomping about in the mud!!! It was one of the most friendliest festivals I have ever been to and the community spirit of all the people there was amazing..
Even the sound in the overkill tent didn't annoy me that much I was just happy that they got it up and running on the friday night.

I think ur totally right about the weather glossing over things the other years Sarah...I do feel sorry for your first being one of the worst organised Glade's yet! I hope you go again next year and hopefully the organiser wont just get defensive about it all and instead actually listen and so summat about the issues.

If you could have sunrise, put some more Glade people in it, and the glade line up, then that would be a perfect festival for ya!

Definitely agree with the loo thing! I realy couldn't get along with the long drop things especially...

I really don't mind a little bit of rain, it can actually be quite good to freshen things up and dampen down the pollen and dust. Full on torrents are a bit rubbish though.
Let's go on an adventure!

I know what you mean, in the sense that last year felt a bit flat.

It's true a lot of people were determined to have a wicked time despite the mud and that helped lift the mood a lot.

And your first mud festival can actually be quite a bit of fun. But after two wet Glastos in a row, the last thing I wanted was a muddy Glade too. :(

I disagree, I thought the atmosphere was amazing ...

I met loads of people, shared some amazing chats and other things with randoms , and also had a great time with me mates .... I think if you get out there and talk to people rather than only your mates it makes the festival expreience 100 times better, and also positive thinking, I was appalled by hearing people had left on friday, fuck that, you can wither make the best out of a situation or the worst, like sit there and complain, fuck that, rain ? who gives a crap , come Monday I was tucked warm in my bed ........

Maybe if I hadn't had such a battle getting there I'd have expected less, and so been happier? I dunno. *shrug*

Re people going home; there's no way I'd have gone home, the only time I did think I'd like to go was after it all finished on Sunday, I could have done with a shower and a nice bed!

Don't get me wrong...I didn't not enjoy it...it just wasn't as earth-shatteringly amazing. I'm a hard woman to satisfy...what can I say :P

at least people had tents to sleep/float in
we were huddled outside a 24 hour shop in london on the fri morn waiting for the tube station to open :? :P
they should base a comedy around a 24 hour shop, the amount of weirdos it attracts at like 4-6 am is amazing
