Heard some wicked tunes comin from the glade stage some time after the rain stopped on friday afternoon. Went over to have a proper listen and was completely blown away by the music that was pumpin out from the stage. From what I remember it was a big guy wiv long hair/ dreads and he was playin before dreadzone. The music had a slightly psy sound but slower and funkier. Does anyone know who the dj was and whether he was a change over dj or full on live act? I have a short sound recording of it on my pc if anyone could help by listenin... somewhat keen to get hold of some recorded stuff like what i heard! . Thanx, Andi.

I think it was Lex from Ben & Lex. I agree, it was wicked, really funky breaks and electro, one of the best sets I heard all weekend

That was a really enjoyable set. I think it helped in some part that it was the start of the music under very difficult circumstances, but there was a great atmosphere in there.

Thanx for the replies... I'm on the hunt now for tracks, mixes anythin that might contain some of what was played lol. I think that set really helped lift the mood to be fair, i was miserable n ready for off after that ridiculous storm thing. Seein and hearin the music just made me realise that it was gonna be good.... smiles all round from then on

Got up at 7am friday, went for a walk round the site in the rain. came back to our camp, sat under the gazebo and had a little drinky. By 8 i had put my empty cans under all the drips to make little rain drums. This woke up some others, who joined my drinking. Bare with me, this has relevance. By 12 i had had a few and was feeling pretty down. Went to the breaks tent for some beats. nothing. hung around for ages. someone told me that it would be 5 hours. Even more upset then. Walked around and found the vapour tent full of refugees. Was about to go to the Sanch Panza and walked past the Glade stage and Hairy dreaded DJ was on. Then the sun peaked out. Then i found a one of my mates. Then my brother and the rest of the crew. Then i got boshed and asll was wicked from then on.

Did some serious internet detective work and finally found the track i was lookin for... WOOOOOOOOOP!!!!!! It's Skool Of Thought & Deepcut playin 'Tug Nut' downloaded from Tesco nonetheless lol. QUALITY TUNEAGE!!!! . Wish i could enjoy it comin outta that awesome PA at the glade though.... Oh well *cranks vloume*

they had two singers. a black guy wearing an evisu tshirt and a white guy too. anyone remember?

In the program it says Atomic Hooligan on before Andy C and before them Dan Berkson & James What.... It was more than likely one of them unless it was the change over dj's perhaps which were Jah Free/ Ben & Lex. It's quite difficult to say who was on when coz of the rain delayin things n that but as far as I know things ran to schedule if a little late.

yeah i'd go for atomic hooligan too. but dont really know. it definatley wasnt a dj, that much i could tell!
