Glade 2007 fill-in-the-gaps....

Postby youllneverbe on 19 Oct 2007, 13:19

I know it's a bit late for this... but I was wondering if anyone else, like me, is still asking themselves "Did (x) really play at Glade? When and where? And who filled in for (y)?" I missed a couple of scheduled acts because of the rain disruption and was disappointed. I know the Overkill people have kindly listed the official non-appearance artists, but what about the other stages?

My main question is: Where were Ozric Tentacles? Their scheduled time was Main Stage 1.30pm Friday... but they were not there. Can anyone remember them? They're pretty easily recognisable, being a psychedelic jam rock band and all...

Maybe I saw someone that another forum member missed because of the rain.... maybe no one can remember... can anyone fill in the gaps?

Yep n Paul Woolford.
I spammed about how much I was looking forward to it and then ended up meeting cid and he probably didn't play anyway.

How about people who you thought had played but you mistook them for someone else?

I thought Meat Katie was playing at the main stage but thought it didn't sound like his usual stuff. From where I was standing, I could just see the top of a bald head on the stage, so assumed it was him. Turned out it had been Rennie Pilgrem, who was standing in for him.

He was announced when I was in the bogs next to the main stage. He definitely played and the crowd loved him.

Yea KJ Sawka rocked the place. Tho most of the time I was stood around stareing at the stage with my jaw on the floor. Hope he plays again next year, or they find another mad skilled drummer for our appreciation. He looked stoked to be playing as well.

KJ Sawka was amazing. That song with Seven Day War or something sample in it is was sick (the one that used the same sample as a Dj Shadow tune).

Isn't he the one who had a power cut half-way during his set? I think he did play some more when power was restored.

I've seen Andy C many many times though, did he play anything much differnt to his normal sets?? I've seen him do a ram retrospective/old skool dnb mix as well so I can't say I'm that gutted to have missed him at glade.

Yeh I've often wondered if Meat Katie actually played or not? Anyoe know?

I did see Rennie, and I also thought it was Meat Katie due to the bald napper, although I have to admit I wasnt sure who it was tbh!

I'm certain that he didn't. I think Rennie stood in for him.
