Psy-trance line-up

Postby Sperge on 23 Mar 2006, 12:54

Some of the psy-trance line-up has headed our way but the email it comes on is in the form of a graphic and I can't put it up as I'm at work.

Will give more details later but I can tell you that the psy-trance line-up includes Eat Static. :)

Home at last! 8)

OK, the leaked line-up for psy-trance is Domestic, Eat Static, Panik, Atomic Pulse, Rinkadink, Ticon, EVP, Emok, Headroom, Ecliptic, DNOX, Scorb, Dimitri DKN and Liquid Soul.

According to the source, this is only a selection. We're assured that there will be more acts, both big names and up-and-coming ones.

Remember, the festival itself hasn't officially released any line-up details yet, so this info is subject to change!

Just emphasising this bit as a number of people around the net are saying these acts are "confirmed" (not singling out any person or site in particular, lots of sites have said it).

Considering the email came from Nano records, who are part of the Glade team, then you can take it as read that it's a reliable source. But as they say themselves, the festival hasn't officially released the line-up yet. So as far as we're concerned, this info is still at the "strong rumour" stage. Our policy is not to say anyone is confirmed until the Glade officially releases the line-up or the artists confirm themselves on their own website or in interviews etc.

We don't go in for hype here by labelling everything as "exclusive" and "remember you heard it here first". All sites get their info by and large from the same sources, i.e. contacts on the Glade team and through some of the individual stage organisers such as Breaksday, Wrong Music etc.

We take a cautious approach for a reason: we don't want to give out duff information by presenting things that are still subject to change as if they are cut and dried. It's a bit like the difference between Sky News and BBC News 24. Sky is very good at rushing "breaking news" to air whereas the BBC's policy is to check info or wait for at least two sources before going to air. That makes Sky appear to be more on the ball a lot of the times, but then again they also get egg on their faces through having more false alarms... ;)
