Heard this played as "filler" between artists on the main stage, remix/cover of There Is A Light That Never Goes Out with female vocals, kinda breaksy if i remember rightly?
any clue who did it?

The vox were heavily vocoded, so it could've been a male or female voice really. I'm not a big fan of vocoders really, but it was pretty interesting to hear that song done that way.
I have been watching this board for maybe 2 years now , and I can't beleive THIS is the topic that makes me want to reply so badly that I actually do. What's worse is I've just realised someone's already answered your question. The song is indeed The Light 3000 by Schneider TM.
John Peel played this song once and it's been coming on in brain-jukebox ever since. I have also met others who have had this same experience. All other Schneider TM is not so good, and I'm not a big smiths fan, but this is a magical tune.
anyways, hello glade board people. I'll start saying things now.
