According to Nationa Rail the service service between Reading and Westbury, which serves Thatcham is closed. I think I will give it till about 2pm then see what's happening. Will call someone on site in a few hours to see what the situation is.

Is anyone driving down from London today that would have space for one?

We're thinking of setting off from London in the next couple of hours - driving up. Is this foolish do you think?

If someone wants a lift and is up for being adventurous :fear: PM me.

Update from National Rail:

Newbury - Taunton via Westbury (train services between Reading and Taunton are diverted via Swindon causing extended journey times). The line has reopened between Reading and Newbury.

:)

Anyone on here got any news from people on site about weather and access please? We're keen to go if we can get in but all the reports we're hearing is that it's still debatable we'll get on site. However have a (possibly over optimistic) feeling that could be old info and don't want to waste the tickets unless it really is a wash out...

All news gratefully received!

I was supposed to be going for the night tonight and set off at 9:30 this morning, but I am up north and the trains south via birmingham to Reading and Bristol and Wales were cancelled the london trains are running but everyone is using it as a hub and there is limited service out of paddington with long queues, I was meeting mates in Bristol before heading over but the M5 is closed so have decided not head down.

Mates on site say things are okay, 6 inches of mud everywhere and yesterday was a bit of a downer because of the weather with some folks leaving, but things went ahead though schedules were mixed up and a few people pulled out. It has been sunny for the past 2/3 hours but dark clouds were gatehring overhead again.

If I didn't need to travel through the west midlands where I hear the weather is still pretty shitty I would have headed down.

Hi ya guys, Shaz and I have just got home from the Glade. We wanted to leave early to ensure we could get out ok (and tbh I'm glad we left 2 hours ago and have just got home, we had to get pushed out of the car park).

Virgin trains aren't running any direct services, though you can probably get there via other routes. No idea how you're gonna get to the site from thereon though.

Tip: If you have got wellies, don't go!
By the time you've read this message it's too late to stop reading it.
