boki wrote:I got as far as actually taking my tent down so that the pegs and poles were packed away and not left in the ground (wrapped a binbag round my hand to get the pegs up out of the thick, shitty sludge that went halfway round my tent), but when it came to actually trying to fold up the inner tent partially caked in said shitty sludge and roll everything up so it'd fit in the bag, it had all become a very futile and depressing experience, so I left all the bits in a pile, hoping that maybe someone who just had damaged poles or needed pegs could maybe salvage something from it. Becky and I bundled our stuff into one whilst we took our tent down thus leaving most of of our stuff mud-free and then we created a sled out of an abandoned tent by bundling all our stuff into it and dragging it. It didn't go as smoothly as we were thinking but was a great help. Anybody else have any good uses for the abandoned tents?
