There was fuck all he could do about the sound levels so he should have been a man and done the best he could with what he had instead of throwing his mixer out of his proverbial pram.
He could have bitten his lip and carred on, but part of me is happy he spoke out and made a stand for his audiance. I've been waiting 3 years to see him so of course I was dissapointed, but I've no doubt he had good intentions.
By doing what he did he highlighted the crowds issue with sound. Organisers say that other djs didn't complain, well, perhaps they should of, because in fairness overkill has fucking quiet that night. We were camped by the liquid and the roots tent and when we returned from snares the sound was booming out of those tents, I'm talking real gut renching bassy thumps like it was all day and night.
I get the fealing that overkill generally wasn't as big a priority in glade as it should be. You could arguee that there isn't as large a fan base at glade but I think the imences overcrowding in there suggests otherwise. I'm not angry at the organisers, they made a good festival and I had a good time, mistakes are inevitably made.
Music isn't actually music, its just a coincidence.
