I had an amazing time at Glade and for the most part thought the organisation was good. Glade turns over £1.5 million pounds or something though so those people suggesting that it's done "for love not profit" are kidding themselves. We paid £120 for tickets and you expect a certain standard for that amount of money - this wasn't a free party or a rave in the woods. I think that the organisers need to learn some lessons from how they dealt with it, especially on the following points:
- Car park needs sorting, whether it's temporary roads or whatever but they need to do something. It's not acceptable for people to have to pay £5 "green tax" and then pay another £5-40 to get towed out of the car park at the end. I'm pretty sure that the use of tractors on the car park made the situation worse for most people as they completed churned up the grass/mud. Also it would've helped if they'd told people they'd have to pay to get out so people could at least get to the cash point before leaving.
- Why were only a couple of bails of hay put down for people to sit on? It's not expensive and it's easy to get
- There were nowhere near enough water points, and the ones there were had no drainage so they were just making the flooding worse.
Overall thought it was brilliant though and will definitely be back
