Anyone else packed yet?

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

Jeans are just about the worst thing you could wear at a festival, I've never understood why anyone would wear pants made from heavy absorbent cloth.... zip off walking trousers FTW and spare shorts in case the weather gets f**king hot.

I always pack the day before. Always. If I have clothes and cash, everything else is optional. (And CunningStunt will bring it anyway.)

Shorts & hoodie/windy jacket if required always suits me for a festival, no matter what the weather. Well, so far, anyway.

As long as my upper body is covered I'm not really bothered about my legs & at least if it rains the bottom of my pants aren't wet & muddy.

I've been on the look out for a good poncho but it's looking likely to be a plastic see through bin liner now with a hole in for my head.

My other half has spent the laast 3 days packing!! every waking hour she ahsnt been at work, which was like 7 hours a time too!! stressed herself out big time over it all, i would be packing tomorrow night if i had my way but my lady has done a blinding job, we are ready for all eventualities bar those of mass extinction!!!! i seriously dont think we will want for anything over the entire 4 days :) a big shout out to Sharna for being organised to the point of break down- i will make sure every second was worth it for you x

I guarantee once you get there and get into it, you will not use or even look at approximately 80% of what you've packed :D

Standard; but you never know which 20% it is you're going to need until you get there!

True.

However, I'm tending to follow a similar line of thinking to BM the last few years, namely if I have money, I'm dry and have somewhere to crash and something to crash in, I don't give much of a fuck. The rest will sort itself out :)

After discussion last night we are taking the stove and kettle so that CunningStunt can have a hot water bottle at night. Which means I might as well take the mess tin and some breakfast ration meals with me and try to save us a bit of cash, but I bet I don't even bother eating most of them, as I'll get sidetracked by the lovely oatcakes and other cakes and jealous of CunningStunt's tasty looking £8 meals. OM NOM NOM NOM

Defintely only packing the essentials this year though.

Helpful tip which I'm sure most people do already,

Line your rucksack with a bin bag/rubble bag/something 100% waterproof
