I wouldn't say I was fluent in any language apart from English - and some would probably dispute that. ;) I have very basic knowledge of French, Dutch, German, Swedish, a smattering of tourist phrases in Greek and Spanish, some rude words in Polish, that's about it really. Like a lot of people who know bits of language but not the full monty, I'll wing it with things like Google Translate and Babelfish and you can usually get the gist of things as long as you realise they are horribly limited and cross-check with dictionaries etc.

Here's some Weekender hype to help shake off that cold turkey...

* SUPERSTAR ACID COLLABORATION ALERT *
John Frusciante (Legendary guitarist of the RHCP) & Aaron Funk (Venetian Snares)
join forces for the 1st time to bring us a live 303 & 808 analogue show as SPEED DEALER MOMS

* 3-D RAVE : BANG YOUR EYES *
Put on your free goggles and Room 2 becomes a shape-throwing-rave-asteroid-field of mayhem!

* INFLATALAND *
Room 4 will be an inflatable Battle Zone. Compete with fellow Hard Crew for honour and respect :)

LATEST LINE-UP ADDITIONS...

SPEED DEALER MOMS - John Frusciante & Aaron Funk
DREXCIYAN CONNECTION - Dopplereffekt & Urban Tribe
SKREAM
DJ KENTARO
EBOLA
X&TRICK RAVE SYSTEM

Ooh, I dunno, all the aches and pains in my joints, and I'll have to get the noise turned down because I'll be needing my sleep and stuff.

theme speculation -

1184BC: Greeks enter Troy - Come as horses, gladiators and Helen!
1918: First tank to tank combat - Come as a tank! Tank goggles, tank girls!
1952: Jean-Paul Gaultier's birth - Come in corsets and as sailors! Eurotrash!
1955: Winston Churchill is knighted - Come with a cigar and V-fingers! Come with a crown and sword!

inappropriate theme speculation -

1916: Easter Rising begins - Come as paramilitaries, Orange Men and hunger strikers! (Bonus! William of Orange, born April 24th 1533)
1954: Mumua Abu-Jamal's birth - Come as prisoners, executors, executees and the Fugutive!

Surely the concept of April, let alone 28-31 day months, wasn't even considered until Gregory sorted out his shit?
