BANG FACE - THE WEEKENDER

Let Saint Acid bang your face with breakcore, acid, gabber, mash-up, jungle and dubstep - not forgetting the inflatables and rave horns.

OH MY DAZE!

just got back

will be writing a detailed review in the next few days once my pictures are sorted and online but all i can say now is

AAHHHHHHHHH BOOM BOOM BOOM CHING BOOM BOOM BOOM CHAAAAAA

fat fat sick sick fucking amazing OMG im gonna be depressed til the next one.

bigups to all bangface hard crew that came and conquered camber sands, you were the vibe that kept me smiling all weekend. last but not least a big fucking hand for saint acid and all the other lovely people that worked so hard over the last year putting this weekend together and making it what it was - a rave to go down in history.

also bigup pontins, LOl! safe to security and OB who from my experiences were freindly, communicative and helpful (except for the fluro wanker raiding the after party in247 who went to hit someone but thankfully got dragged off by another plastic policeman)

HORNS & WHISTLES

bring on next year :wackyhat:

What a weekend!

Massive respect to Saint Acid and everyone involved behind the scenes, everything was wicked. Loads of quality sets, really good vibe and really good people - meeting ravers from all over the world was particularly enjoyable. Had some fantastic random encounters, (big up Ruth and grimey Graham). Bang face TV was brilliant, Normski (get him back on telly) and Wrong TV were hilarious. Really good security and plenty of banging chalet raves (massive shout to the people who threw the old school hardcore rave in 353 - one of my highlights!) The weather and beach were awesome too.

Disappointments were few and far between and hardly worth mentioning. The neandthanderthal bar staff on Sunday in the Queen Vic were particularly infuriating. The heat and stench in the Bang room, particularly on Sunday was almost unbearable but could hardly be helped with a couple of thousand raving mentallists and poor ventillation. Not a great choice of food for veggies, but it hardly mattered considering the physical state we were in. The only other big disappointment was how quickly it was all over.

Overall the best event i've ever been to in terms of music. Favourite sets for me were Altern-8, Remarc and Beardyman. The vibe wasn't quite as good as camping festivals though because there wasn't that sense of togetherness 24 hours a day, however the benefits of a chalet were obviously more felt in a different way. (Although did anyone else feel like having a shower and kitchen etc brought you back to reality much more than when camping?)

Bring on more rinsing bumbaclaart gabba rave bombs next year please. I'll be looking forward to how such an impressive lineup can possibly be followed up without having loads of the same people playing again, but to be honest I'd blatently still go if it was exactly the same bill.

For me it was pretty much perfect really. One of the best events I've ever been to.

Hard crew represented big time! Anyone else take part in the stage invasion when St Acid played? Me and my mate got up there and fell over the barrier  :haha:

Much respect to the organisers. Please do another one!!!!

soundsystem in the bang room was crisp <3 other rooms im not too inclined to comment on as i didnt spend much time in there, aba shanti's rig was fgucking pounding

next time an ickle bit more dub/reggae would go down a treat, altern-8 were wicked, bigup to fictional party in 303 and bongra rumours, you all missed it!

Haha, I well wanted chalet 303. I was overlooking the Queen Vic though so all was good!

I saw Richard Devine playing a chalet set with two laptops, a mixer, 2 keyboards and some sort of MPC type thing... was good!

Tonight is seeming very quiet in comparsion to the last few nights....

Anyone hear the rumour about a casualty falling off a balcony? Paramedics said it looked like he would be paralysed but he was OK by the end apprentely...

ye 247 lol we were lookin for it aswell, great stuff

absolutly amazing! best fest ive been to by far, people were amazing.
most sureal thing was having about 10 differnt ravers mostly from other countrys come up to me & say i recognise your face, your the guy with the on the bangface site.
the fact guys in belgium & france knew my face & tattoo was crazy :D
everything was really grand, security were probably the best ive seen & really friendly to.

bring it all on again & again & again

Absolutely superb weekend. Highlight for me was the 247 chalet rave on Sunday night. The chalet was directly below mine and I knew the people in it. Small world innt?

SUMMER HAS OFFICIALLY ARRIVED WITH A BANG (FACE)!

BANGFACE CREW, WE LOVE YOU!! Saint acid and all the background staff, you really know how to throw a party. Never experienced anything like that before!

Definatly the best weekend if my life!!!

Saturday was possibly THE best day i have ever had. Altern8s set was unbelivable, the lazers were a show on there own, espes whilst trippin my baws off! Remarc, Bong-ra, Shitty, producer and cylob were also unreal!

Was my first bangface experience, and by the sounds of it we missed out on some shenanigans. Will have to keep our ears to the ground for the challet afterparties next year!

Hangin up the horn till next year unless Bangface comes to Bonny Scotland!!
