BANG FACE Weekender 2010: Travel Info

BANG FACE HARD CREW...

We've booked back-up land travel for all European acts playing at the Weekender.
So are recommending you read this if you're traveling from outside the UK...

VOLCANO ALERT!
Well all want to get into the Jurassic mood but a real volcano is a bit much!
If you are traveling from abroad and are worried about flight delays we recommend looking at ground travel options.
The Eurostar travels direct to Ashford International which is the closest eurostar station to Camber,
trains can then be taken to Rye where we are running shuttle buses direct to Camber.
We have also put together a list of European ferry routes below:

Edit: BBC reports that Eurostar has 30,000 standard class seats available from Tuesday to Sunday for £89 one-way and it plans to run at least 28 additional trains.

EUROPEAN HARD CREW UNITE - DUNKIRK SPIRIT! 'WE SHALL BANG THEM ON THE BEACHES'
If any European Hard Crew are traveling by car on ferries and have spaces available we ask you do your best to help your fellow ravers.
Please contribute to this thread to co-ordinate the mission!

Ferries to the UK...

France: (the best option by far if you can drive to):
Calais - Dover
Dunkerque - Dover (http://www.norfolkline.com - quite cheap / quite fast too)
Boulogne-sur-Mer - Dover
Diepe - Dover
Diepe - Newhaven
Le Harve - Portsmouth
Ouistreham - Portsmouth
Cherbourg-Octeville - Portsmouth
Cherbourg-Octeville - Poole

Netherlands:
Oostende - Ramsgate
Hoek van Holland - Harwich (http://www.stenaline.co.uk - pretty cheap takes 6 hours tho)

Denmark: (Scandinavian Hard Crew!)
Esbjerg - Harwich

Ireland:
http://www.stenaline.co.uk operate 6 routes to the UK

BANG FACE HARD CREW...
YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO ;)

Statement on Icelandic volcanic eruption: Monday April 19, 1530

The volcanic eruption has reduced and the volcano is not currently emitting ash to altitudes that will affect the UK. Assuming there are no further significant ash emissions we are now looking at a continuously improving situation.

For whoever this may be of help, coming from or passing thru Belgium, the best options would be either taking the car by ferry (Calais-Dover / Dunkerque-Dover), or by Eurotunnel (Calais-Folkestone), which is what we're doing!

Here's hoping to not too many people/artists/ravers getting stuck anywhere!!

We're coming from Belfast, don't know how we're going to get there but we could sort an Irish Hardcrew Convoy.
