You will fucking love it !!!

Virtually everybody in fancy dress makes for a really great party vibe. They put loads of effort in to the site decoration , probably more than any other festival . You get the big crowd atmosphere without it being over crowded ( except for beasty boys last year which was bloody stupidly packed out ! )

All in all an awesome festival .

Possibly, possibly not, I know a fair few people with houses/flats in bristol so I shouldn't have a problem finding somewhere closer to the time when I can be botherd sorting it all out.

Top one. Nice one. Get sorted.

If you have any useless mates who are still dithering about coming to Glade, show them this article: http://www.ravetalk.co.uk/glade-festival-2009.shtml

Well it almost certainly looks like it will piss it down. But aphex twin and 808 state are both playing in the huge 6000 capacity big top so i will be safely installed in there on sat night

As for the sound levels ..... well we will have to see, but there haven't been any problems for the last four years so fingers crossed

haven't posted on here in a while but thought i'd share my thoughts on bestival wiv you lot-quite suprised it has had so little mention on here????

Ok naysayers, it's corporate; radio1 stage, rizla tent, xbox thing etc etc. Was it rammed down peoples faces? no. Did i really care that much? no.I think they got the balance right
People got searched if caught doing nos, rumours of ejection of repeat offenders/sellers were probably true and the security were definitely a presence at times.
No tracks for the punters to walk on through the mud-at the camping bit anyway-made it a bit of a nightmare and surely a few glasto-esque metal thingies would have made life easier for everyone

It really did have an amazing atmosphere- i think it topped glade and glasto an numerous other festies ive been to in the last 11 yrs. I found the crowd such a laugh and spoke to more randoms than any other festie ive been to.
Plus everyone dressed up. Nowt quite like dancing in the mud with three 'old greg's
The line up; MBV, Underworld, Roni & Reprazent, Scotch Egg, Aphex Twin, Ulrich Snauss, a hidden disco that jus played hardcore all friday when everyone else was queing up for wellies.
No dreary indie bands all the fookin time like emily eavis' vision of glasto
IT WAS LOUD!
Brilliant

not loud enough for aphex twin who walked off stage half way thru his set, or at least sat down and refused to play any more tunes...
That said, My Bloody Valentine were the loudest thing I've ever heard, they paid the £20k noise fine up front and just went for it ;)
But yeah good festival, like a corporate SGP

Had a great time, despite all my clothes getting wet on the first day. It was a bit like Glastonbury, but with a nicer atmosphere. It would clearly be an absolutely blinding festival if it had the weather on its side.

Highlights:
Kid Carpet
The Human League
Sebastien Tellier
Brass band playing old skool acid house on Sunday morning
Misty's Big Adventure
Meeting Paul Heaton from The Housemartins
The general friendliness of the people
Getting to be in family camping = No long walks to the the tent!

Lowlights:
Absolutely atrocious weather
Falling over in the mud
Not being able to find the Hidden Disco to see Shitmat play on the first day
The fucking stewards who wouldn't tell me where the Hidden Disco was
Arguments with the missus
My Bloody Valentine (sound levels were all fucked, they were far better at the Roundhouse in June)

2009 early bird tickets are currently on sale for the "bargain" price of £120 from http://www.ticketline.co.uk. Wahey, by tomorrow night I'll have tickets for two festivals next year!

God damn !!!!! That festival rocked . Weather was possible worse than glade 2007 ??? Organisation was incredible , the effort and work that goes in to the site decor was just awesome .

Hands down the best festival I went to this year . Forget the mud and rain, just great music , great people and a great atmosphere !

Have bought my 2009 ticket this morning .

Bring it on .
