Boots v wellies

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

After buying a pair of Hunters in TKMaxx sale for £20 I've only ever used them for quick transfer shoes when busting for a Piss in the morning. Upon discovering insoles and those stupid socks that go with them they are pretty comfy to wear. Tho I shall still be taking my trusty leather hiking boots.

Shorts are good because legs are far more easy to dry than trousers!

Agreed. And waterproof leggings just make you sweat and look shit. Bring the short skirts, ladies! :)

Don’t make the mistake of buying new hiking boots and wearing them in at the festival – I did that one year and it utterly annihilated my feet!

I recommend the hippy barefoot approach… at least for the origin!

I was lucky, I had a pair of Karrimors that were as comfy as trainers from the outset. But yeah, you do have to be careful with that one.

Then again, wellies can cause nasty rashes.

I bought Waterproof hiking boots, bit clumpy but cosy. I bought gaiters too, they will keep my trouser dry in the wet grass.

I'm going to look like a f*cking nerd.

Gaiters for the win. Fucking awesome kit. Owners of them with lovely dry warm feet and lower legs will be the ones laughing when it siles it down.... :)
