Camping near the car park

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

There was crew camping near the public car parks. Is that what you're referring to?

I dunno, there were lots of tents in fairly unsecure looking fenced field as we walked back to our cars on Monday. Wondering what they were there for. Seemed an odd place to have crew camping if that's what it was.

Crew camping was odd.

It was the layout of the site in that crew camping was along one long thin road with big slopes at the sides, vans on one side and tent on the other.

The tents you saw were in the nice quiet bit at the back of that road on top of the hill.

it did seem a tad too far away... even that camping on that hill at the very back.. way too far..

That was nothing, at Boom last year it was a good 30 min walk from my camp to the dancefloor.

It was 15 mins walk to the nearest toilet or tap as well, the van area originally had no toilets, and no taps at all for the whole festival.

Kind of puts all the comforts at Glade into perspective.

does boom offer the same camping facliities like glade though? with the whole area being practically open 24 hours to wander through and camping facilities very near the festival site?

or do they lock parts of the festival off

Yes, It's all open like Glade and the camping is mostly around a big lake.

The problem was the site wasn't big enough to handle all the people they let in, and they also couldn't provide the facilities for all those people.
