cartridge for coded vinyl

Numark are starting to try my patience, I set up there virtual vinyl thing on my decks weeks ago, everythings intalled and in the right place but it wont configure my coded vinyl.

So I called them up and besides sugesting it could just be my cartridge type he asked me to email them with screenshots and info. That was fucking ages ago, they ashured me my message is going strait to the desighners but im loosing patiance.

So if any technical wizard may know wether a stanton 680hp is the problem or not you'd be saving me valuble time. Or if you could simply name a type that definatly will work.

Ortofon make a cartridge designed for timcoded vinyl, but i'd be amazed if that was the problem, timecode is a very hot robust signal, and has always worked flawlessly for me, even when being recorded onto 1 channel of an audio cassette etc
i recon it's a computer hardware conflict type thing...

I just read up on this, looks pretty cool. I can't mix or scratch anyway though so it's not much use to me :D

fuckers still haven't replied. And when I call them there right slippery.
There is no aparent reason why its not working, my mac is well withing the said requirements, I've managed to use the software as a stand along dj program with my mixer but thats it.

How long should I wait until calling them again? If anyone here happens to work for numark give em a poke :poke:

Are the usb decks or analog. If the analog ones they normally a bit twitchy unless there preamped either at the deck or with one before they get to the soundcard.

there stanton st150s. which I think have a digital output signal because theres no ground wire.
Mabye if I switch output option to line rather than analog, I'm stuck in east kent tonight though so shall give it a shot tomorow.

Well, after alot of phoneing and advise I got it to work, and boy was it fun! That is until it started fucking up again big time. Now its back to the drawing bord, I get the impression its somthing to do with my computer.

So a word of warning to anyone with a new mac os x thinking of getting this, numark seems to be having a few compaterbility issues, even with the software update. :(

Scrap that, basically it appears that it is my cartidges. They are pretty basic to be fair but the ones the guy on the phone recomended are £95 each!

...Could any of you technical wizards or musical handymen recomend a more student freindly priced stylus with good enough to deliver a clear coded signal?

Your feedback would be super helpful.

WHS

Can you borrow some from a friend to try? Concordes are decent and good value for money.
