the first obvious one is speak & spell machines doing subtle mods like swapping resistors over or adding variable resistors n that. think there was summat in sound on sound or future music a few months back.

Haven't tried it myself, but really want to! This website seems like the best place to start: http://www.anti-theory.com/soundart/circuitbend/ Let us know how it goes, I'm gonna see if I can do a bit over the summer. This video sort of explains it all, through the medium of wacked out hippy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6Pbyg_kcEk

Yeh, saw rinsound/phil/my little bro's casio sa-1 bent offerings yesterday! :wackyhat:

Certainly seems like fun, and he's convinced me to have a go (more sound tools for me home studio!) so i'll be heading down to the next car-boot in town...

I've got a 3 yr old daughter who's not going to like her daddy soon when she finds all her electronic toys making crazy glitched, warbling noizes!! :D

Looks like were going to be bringing some noize-toys to this years Glade!!! :P

If you have an eBay account check this out for parts: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Circuit-Bending-And-Electronics_W0QQsspagenameZL2222QQtZkm

there is website but that isn't finished yet (better prices on website). http://www.bendables.co.uk sorry for spamming also check out the forum at http://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/forum for info. The casio SA keyboards are a good first bend such as SA-1, SA-2, SA-5

in a nut shell yes :D

Done generally by short circuiting parts on the board, or be removing or subsituting components, mainly by trial and errpr

Cheers everybody!!!

Can't wait to get bending, sadly we are moving on saturday so i expect a good few weeks will be spent unpacking!!!

We already have a huge casio keyboard thats beccas and is going to be a SERIOUSLY exciting circuit bending project!!!

Luckily i already know a fair bit about electronics so it is quite exciting to see whats going on inside these toys and when you bend them!!!

Have already taken apart one toy and made lots of mad sounds by putting a wire across the contacts, makes a partcularly enjoyable high pitched noise!!

Stick a vid on YouTube, I'd like to see what you've managed. I got a kid's keyboard from the Early Learning Centre today, looks like it will make some pretty messy sounds bent. I'll give it a go sunday. Check out some of the stuff on here, especially the baby heads and Amazing Ally! http://www.casperelectronics.com/finished-pieces/
