A VST is a thingumygig that you load into a program like Cubase or whatever. It can be a software synth or an effect. 'Glitch' is an effect which makes instant Squarepusher-esque cut ups to your drum loops.
It's a geek ting.
Oh, incidentally, PM me anyone if you'd like the URL to a very useful site with 'inspection copies' of lots of music software and sample libraries ans stuff.

I've been forced to use "massive" as I'm having probs installing others. But once you get used to it you can do alot!
Got a nice bass the other day, and managed to get something like throat singing aswell!
So at the mo, Massive is my fav! Although glitch is bloody good fun to!

my weapons are acid pro 6, pro tools 7 le, the sound guy sfx vst, battery 2, reaktor 5, albino 2/3, gargoyle, fm8, Waves SSL bundle, URS bundle, waves diamond and my hardware. very nice...

also the glitch is ok but can get really annoying and is kind of cheating if you know how to programme the stuff yourself. you have more contorl that way. its good for live stuff.
