First Glade, now Ravetalk to go?

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

there was a guy at the glade in 2011 who looked very much like the museum of techno guys - he looked at me a bit bemused when I asked if he had a website

None of them posted again after that. ;)

lol a nice gentle put down, I was keen to "engage" with them, I think they could have been quite interesting, I noticed that one of them, the most frequent poster seemed to like his music.

Well, there was nothing to stop them posting again. They simply chose not to after they got that message. They were starting multiple nonsense threads, hijacking existing ones etc. If the forum was busier at that time, we could have used more subtle crowd control - but it was just me and occasionally yourself, so it required slightly tougher policing.

Yeh they were probably bored and coming down in between parties and treating Ravetalk like an online play pen, I don't think random new comers like that are the future of this forum though if the site had been more busy they are the sort of new comer who might tag a long for a while and then join in.

I quite like the idea of combining home made graphics and politics with a periodic agit prop graphics competition. Every month or quarter has a political theme, people who want to enter can create a graphic that communicates their feelings about that. At the closing date the top 5 are simply identified as that but everyone is encouraged to use their graphic submissions on facebook, or in a paper format, the idea being that the competition is just a launching pad to express and define thoughts and feelings about that theme. This idea would probably be better done by an organisation like UK Uncut though daft bangface style slogans might be interesting.

hello boarders

i havent been on in ages, been off travelling (as some of you will have seen on the faceplace)

would be sad to see the site go completely but if it does it has had a very good run and as others have said it has been the gateway to meeting a brave few rave-mates, you know who you are!

This is a great idea. Not necessarily for this site, but for someone to do...
