FrenchTek

Postby thecure4eva » 12 Mar 2009, 12:31

Is anyone going this year? Its getting close now (1st to 5th of May) and the partylines/flyers have gone online.
Its an amazing festival, 5 days of illegal (but allowed by the French gov) partying at a massive field/airbase/random outdoor location in sunny France, 50-100k of people, 100s of DIY soundsystems and linkups from France, UK and elsewhere and very loud hard tek, techno, dnb...

I know me and a few others are planning on going. Need to sort out my motor first. I've seen videos and pictures of some of the sound systems and it looks absolutley hooning.

As soon as I rally enough troops to fill a car then im booking a ticket to france.

It is!!! If you do a youtube search for creucy french tek, there's an aerial video someone did with a model plane which shows just how massive the site was.
You can get the ferry for next to nothing too, Norfolk line are doing crossings at 19quid each way, dover to dunkirke.

Where I live it seems the Plymouth to Roscoff is the best bet, but the price works out at £66 each on a return journey with 5 people.
I checked the price of single tickets and thats more expensive.

Perhaps its worth getting the Channel Tunnel???

What the most recession friendly way of getting to FrenchTek:? any suggestions?

And am I right in thinking that the teknival is somewhere in northern france?
