Glade 2009 camp!

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Feedback thread.

What with no Bang Face and so therefore (I assume) no officially suggested fancy dress theme at Glade this year, I reckon we need to do this Camelot thing even more!

Yeah, anyone should be able to afford two halves of a coconut shell to do the horse sound effects thing, at least. ;)

Well, it is unless someone comes up with something better.

I don't think anyone's done anything about it though. I know I haven't...

There's still plenty of time left though. Come on, this theme is great!

If I absolutely cross-my-heart-and-hope-to-die promise to do something involving this theme will other people join in?

Yep, the RoadKill massive are up for a fancy dress theme - I just need to ping an e-mail to get the wheels in motion.

The more notice the better obviously - so if this is a go-er, lets have it :)

I know the "chainmail" they used was just knitted and then dyed to look metallic - anybody got a granny who'd like to help a good cause (i.e. us)?

Haha good idea, however she has an inability to use one colour and she's not very well at the moment either so wouldn't be able to produce the goods in time for Glade.

Tom and I however could come as a pair of knitted snails, my nan is good at making knitted snail outfits :)

Well, that's really big of you. :notworthy:

I've never been to Matterley Bowl myself but others who've been to Homelands etc can give you an idea. The thing is that it depends exactly how much space they fence off for Glade - and as nobody's been to Glade at Matterley before, nobody can give you a definitive answer yet.

We did get this answer in the Q&A thread though:

I'll try and get hold of a site map. Be prepared for the worst though - it was quite a trek from the car park to the best camping spots at the old venue. Festies seem to go out of their way to make it as inconvenient as possible for punters to get their stuff in...
