Glade 2009 dates and tickets

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Glade 2009 FAQ.

Tbh I'm not fussed whether they pay out for big names as long as the quality is still there - the only thing I'm holding out for is making sure that their is still gonna be the Overkill, and to a lesser extent the Vapor stage and Bangface night, this year, before I book a ticket as these are what I go for. With all this talk of changes etc i just want that confirming before I commit myself - would be vexed to buy a ticket then find that all that I got was the stages I have little or no interest in!

yeah, especially with other very small festivals like bangface and bloc looming in the back (or is it fore) ground..

but this year i'm asking about line ups and shit like that only out of sheer curiosity as i'm going to the glade 1000 percent next year..

if you consider 2005 a boutique year, i'm all up for that. there was a great vibe (as usual) and a great great line up.

Well, I had more discussions with Ans over the phone about other stuff. They are keeping a really tight lid on things this time round. I know a little more than I did, but not much, and I'm not even meant to let that on.

All I can do is refer you to things that have already been said, especially the movement away from big tents and towards more randomness. And it will absolutely not be like SGP. ;)

In terms of any big headliners, well, I understand your need to know about that, but there's simply nothing to tell you at the moment nor is there likely to be for quite a while. Sorry. :(
Top one. Nice one. Get sorted.

This *slightly* concerns me. I don't know if they could get away with smaller tents if they want to book the same grade of headliners that they've had in previous years.

Overkill came about I suspect mainly because the Little Big Tent in 05 simply wasn't big enough. I just about squeezed in at the back for Plaid at about 8pm, ffs, so god knows what it was like in there for the bigger names towards midnight (I think I only went in LBT twice the whole weekend). Afx at 9pm in 2005 filled the main tent almost to bursting. Surgeon at 5pm (?) didn't. I guess as long as there's one main stage for all the main acts it'll be ok and they can shift names around the other stages to suit. One criticism I noticed particularly this year was a lot of people cursing set clashes, especially last thing Sunday. (I was lucky and only had two clashes, but one was the closing set on Sunday and I still regret going to see The Orb rather than anyone else, I was quite disappointed with their set but stuck it out as I thought it would go somewhere. It didn't.) So if there will be fewer massive stages that could reduce the number of headliner clashes, as well as reducing the number of places from which massive amounts of sound will escape towards Aldermaston  For example, I reckon Liquid could've been half its size for most of the weekend and nobody would have noticed.

With huge excitement the UK's leading electronic music festival is back in 2009 with loads of new concepts, ideas, music and art which is all sure to set a new standard.

And what's more the Glade is moving! It will be in a new and lovely rural part of England again and this will mean that the Glade be able to run the music louder and later... Watch this space.

The price is £125 (+booking fee). You can buy them now at that price or if you're a student we are offering for a limited time only tickets at £99 (+ booking fee) - See below for more info.

...And if you'd rather, you can pay a £50 deposit on a £125 ticket with the balance paid in March 2009. This deposit is for the £125 ticket only. ie you will be charged an extra £75 (+ £7 booking fee) per ticket. If you decide to cancel these tickets you will incur a charge of £10 per ticket but it does mean you can stagger your payment. This option is only available on a limited number of tickets.

So non tax-paying student scum get a decent discount on this years event, probably a good idea to boost ticket sales tbh, and timed nicely so that they can use their student loads to pay for it :D

Its 1st to 5th of may every year I'm pretty sure.
Go to both, I did last year and it was amazing and as long as French Tek isn't too far south it works out relatively cheaply it being free and all.

Helps if you got a garden mate :( hehe, I'll get in. Am getting a portfolio organised at the moment, to send off to promotoers. having already done pics at glade I hope they will let me come back and shoot for the whole festival, not just Overkill - talking of which, does anyone know of a good, professional ish photo hosting website where I can change the layout etc. has to be free, mind! or at least very cheap. Would like a nice looking website to build on, host pics as an online portfolio :) at the moment, ive only got facebook which is on private so not so good

Ive just started using wordpress.com which is a blogging site, but allows you to choose different themes (all customisable), and some of the themes also support galleries. And yes, it is free. Ive got 3gb storage which you can pay to upgrade.
