Glade 2009 not at Wasing - confirmed

Glade 2009 not at Wasing - confirmed

i havnt been on here in a while so sorry if this is old news/ already on here but according to the Newbury Weekly News this week, the Glade isn't going to be at Wasing any more due to rising costs and lack of profit or something. The article isn't on the website yet but i will post it as soon as it becomes available....

Nice one, Smiffy!

Funnily enough, someone asked me about this by pm this morning. I knew nothing about it, they're being very secretive this time round. I await the article with interest - and I'll see what Ans and Nick have to say.

I wonder where then? Hopefully somewhere just as beautiful as wasing. Hopefully this will give the Glade a chance to iron out all of the year after year mistakes...

Confirmed!

Ans wrote:Hi Paul.. Yes it is. We are moving somewhere else where we can run later and louder.. Somewhere rural and lovely in the south of England. We have a shortlist of possibilities.. You should get a press release later today!

I liked Washing I thought it was a great venue/ layout for the type of festival that it is. But if moving away means they can play longer and louder I’m all for it! I just hope they don’t have to sacrifice on the ‘visual beauty’ side of Glade.

About fucking time!!!!

At last they have realised how crap the sound restrictions were at this venue!

May even think about going again now :D

Thumbs up from me. If it sorts out the sound, I'm in favour

Down with that!

Later and louder is always better imo - hope they get somewhere visually good but end of the day decor can convert many an uninspiring place.
