They always planned to come back in 2011 - they told us this as far back as May. :)

Follow the links in our front page story for more details.

As soon as there is something definite to report regarding dates and venue, we'll report it. :)

Sorry, mate, there's nothing new to report. They'll be ready when they're ready.

I do know what date they would like it to be, but there's no point revealing it yet precisely because people will start booking time off and flights on the strength of it - and then blame us if the organisers change their minds.

this year it was difficult for me to come to glade cause i was going to south africa a month just before the glade so i thought it would be financially strenous, but one fine day earlier this year i decided that fuck it, i was going to go, but on that very same one fine day i saw the news that glade was cancelled. so one fine day turned into one gargantuan shit day

It's actually just dawned on me that we're probably not going to hear anything from the glade chaps until next year..I wouldn't of thought anything significant occurs at councils at this time of year, they're too busy organising z-listers to turn on their christmas lights.

It would be the best xmas present in the universe to hear something from them!

As always, sending kindest thoughts to them and every single bit of positive energy to the people who know how to make something special for everyone else.

Namaste.

Well, we don't seem any closer to an answer, so I'm going to tell you the date they were hoping to hold Glade 2011 on:

weekend of 11 June

The thinking behind this was: "We did some Met office stats checking and found out that in the past 10 years June has been significantly drier and sunnier than July or August ."

But I must stress yet again that no official date announcement has been made and so this is subject to change.

If you go ahead and book your holiday dates and travel plans on the strength of this info alone, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. If you want to be sure, WAIT FOR THE OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT.

Paul,

Thank you for that snippet of information, I completely understand that this is completely open to change and in no way a firm date.

The fact that the chaps are considering a different date is frellin' epic :D :D

I know that glades traditionally been on the same weekend, every year since 2006 it's always been a hot talking point around camp about how much the weather ruled in the june and not so much in the july..good to see that they are open to change as people can get locked into patterns like 'it must be in this place', 'it must be on this weekend'..

All I can say is, this is fanning the fire of excitement even more, which is already burning white hot!

If they were to send out one of those press releases soon about there general ideas, jeez i'd have to take a holiday to calm down from that I think!

Massive love to them, and Paul your insider info has made my rainy day.

Random question, have you spoken to them this week? I guess they must be ellusive fellows at this time of year..
