Glade 2013

Is anyone else starting to think there might not be a Glade next year?

Or is it a case of no news is good news?

Are you in the know or just glass half full?
They really should announce dates at least.

Not claiming to be in the know, I just don't see any good reason why they would be worried about next year. They have a venue that they are very happy with, authorities that they have a good working relationship with and a parent organisation with pretty deep pockets and a long-term outlook.

I'll drop Ans an email to see if there's anything he can tell us - but they are usually all swanning off to sunnier climes at this time of year.

UPDATE: Well, I've just received an auto-responder which explains that Ans is on paternity leave due to a new addition to the family. :) I hope that clears the mystery up for you. ;)

I really hope we have a Glade next year. The site was such a beaut. SO many things that worked well that they can expand upon. (Pyromid and the Glitch Hop stage for a start)

Bring on the Glade! :)

The word from Ans is that it's going ahead as normal next year - "no reason not to".

Expect an announcement from the team in a couple of weeks or so. :)

UPDATE: Their latest e-flyer promises dates for Glade 2013 soon. Panic over yet, Sterny? ;)

Do you know what hacks me off?
I'm going to tell you now;
The after party...
I'm sure this never used to happen but all you could hear after midnight on Sunday was a private party for the staff.
Fair enough, they have worked hard for weeks/months putting on the festival but we are the ones paying for it and we are not allowed in!
If there is no issue with playing music beyond midnight then there is no reason that at least one stage can't be left open for us mere mortals who pay for the damn thing to stay up raving.
/Rant.

next year if you explain to the security at the gate that you are basically paying their wages i'm sure they'll realise that you should be in there and will let you in.

although to be honest you're really not missing much.
lets go get sushi, and not pay!

TBF they're probably just as pissed off as me cos all the other staff are in there having a party and they are out there on the gate stopping tossers like me trying to get in!
