Glade 2013 – Top 3 you would like to see?

Postby flipiddy » 18 Jun 2012, 19:32

So after the stormer of 2012, I thought it might be worth kicking off with a few suggestions of who we would LOVE to have playing with a sample of your fave tune:

So here are my top 3

Paul Kalkbrenner - Saw him in London last month and he was stomping. An absolute nutter on stage to boot.

Gui Boratto - Another tech house guy, but with some absolutely lush tuneage.

Pleasurekraft - Twisted techno. I've heard them played everywhere from the Origin to the Glade stage.

So go on, let's have yours :)

Junkie XL on Glade stage or Pyromid. Can't still be expensive to book, surely!?

The Young Gods for one of the smaller stages would be amazing, e.g. Inspiral last year, would have been shit there this year though. They'd rock the Glade stage but definitely not big enough a name to draw a crowd.

More gabber and core on Overkill, in fact let us have a small core stage? :-) Wan Bushi, Tech Diff, someone like that please.

Grovskopa
A. Paul
Amon Tobin

I do always manage to miss the artists that I really want to see, this year I managed to miss everyone that I ticked off on the setlist which was pretty impresive!

Prospect and Spyro or some decent UK Hardcore.
Bangface back for the overkill
More wobble!
I missed a lot of the acts I wanted to see too. Some we went to see and the sound levels were so poor we went elsewhere.

Autechre will hopefully have a new album coming soon - so its about time they destroyed Glade again.

I think someone like Ricardo Villalobos would be great at glade, imagine a 4 hour set from him at the Pyromid kicking off at 11am! That would be feckin' sweet. In fact, I think the popularity of the Pyromid (when rain didnt stop play) proves that daytime techno / tech house has a place at Glade. Even if its not a pyramid next year, im sure they can build another geometric shape to burn down....

Overkill needs more OVER and KILL. Far too pedestrian this year. Didnt get my rave on enough in there. Too much 'step, too much yawn. I need my face melted off, day and night.

I caught most of Bar9's set in the bassment on Sunday night, and for the main I really enjoyed it. Really good soundsystem in that tent, coupled with constant smoke machine, lasers and a big wobbling crowd, I had great fun, and Im not afraid to admit it!

Bonobo, Amon Tobin and squarepusher with the LED show, not that I spend any of this year listening to that sort of thing :)
