Hip hop at Glade?

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

So why the hell did they go and book the most commerical drum and bass act in the world right now? ffs.... if anyone is going to attract the "wrong sort" its going to be Pendulum....

Don't ask me, I'm only the messenger. ;)

wretch 32 would be kwality but i don't think the bangin' bass and beats from all the other tents would mix well with the bars, 'ya get me..

i'd like to check out notting hill carnival though..
I used to think about the future.. until it became the present - i started thinking about it a lot then.. and now it's the past i can't be bothered with it anymore.

One of them is MCing at Bloom :wackyhat:

seen them live, they're awesome - would be ideal for some laid back daytime grooving at a festival imo.
The Glade Gabba Mobile Disco - next year we'll have batteries.

Got my tickets to see Wu Tang at Shepherds Bush the night before we head down to Glade (Weds night) - that'll do as my hiphop for the festie!

Anyone else who fancies it:

I saw DJ Cash Money at Glastonbury once - impressive turntable skills but the music was still not my cup of tea.

Someone in this thread asked if any uk fesitval has a hip hop stage - well i believe Eastern Haze does although its mainly local hiphop artists. I'll have to check with my son who goes there.

However lots of artists that I would class as rap class themselves as hip-hop.

My mate saw public enemy in brizzle t'other night. Said it was fuckin wicked.

I'd love to see del the funky homosapian do a deltron set. His stuff under the del... name is shit but deltron 3030 is one of the most wicked hip-hop albums ever. Maybe a dan the automater set would be better as he's done fuck loads of amazing hip-hop.

Glade is supposed to be an electronic music festival...

I personally like good hip-hop (MF DOOM/Diverse/Talib Kwali etc) but it just wouldn't fit in with everything else that is going on in glade...

My heart would sink if i saw any main stream hiphop on the lineup. (as it did when i saw that pendulum was too...)
