I listened to a juke/ghettotech mix by Dave Shades also which was SWEET. In fact you two have inspired me to buy up a whole load of that stuff :)

can't wait for payday!

Nice one man, always glad to put people on to something new.
Dont wait till payday though, you can get fuck loads of it for free from Soundcloud. Have a look at the T/L of that mix of mine, all the tracks are (or where at the time) free to download.
Or just do a search for downloadable juke, you you'll have to wade through some shit bits but theres good stuff knocking about just waiting to be had.

Dave Skywalker wrote:OK that Dream Continuum track is great, but every other kind of search for Jive or Footwork gives me stuff that leaves me a bit cold tbh. No Amens!!! :D

Can anyone recommend any other tracks that have amens or faster breaks in? (In other words, that sound more like Jungle or J-Tek, haha!).

I recently recorded a mix of some 160bpm juke influenced stuff, not really the original Chicago sound but people like Philip D Kick who have crossed it with jungle, plus some 160bpm bassline inlfuenced stuff near the end :-)

Thanks, mate. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm planning on doing a series of the Butt Rogers mixes but have been a bit lazy lately. There are a few booty mixes on my soundcloud page, for anyone else wanting to check them out www.soundcloud.com/dave-shades. The Subcity promo mix (there's also a link to the ustream of the recording of the club night it was a promo for) and the Dickride Battle mixes are booty. Not sure if it's on my page or not as I can't access soundcloud in work but if not I did one for Z Shed too which is def on www.soundcloud.com/zshed

Ah. no worries man, I dont like to play it up too much really, all I did was take a quick look behind booty techno and there it was.
