Havn't listerned, downloading now. Isn't the name "blipmat" rather derivitive though, just makes me think you're gonna do exactly what shitmatt does but worse, doesn't really inspire me to listen. I mean shitmat was funny cos of the subversion of slipmat. This doesn't have that redeaming feature. Still I don't set much store by names so I'll listen, just sayin the name has tainted my enjoyment of life a bit.

That’s a fair point, however as I have very little crossover in style with Shitmat or Slipmat (as you will see if you listen to the mix) I believe that the name is fine.

Should at some point I start seriously playing or producing breakcore then I would do so under an alias.

The name Blipmat was never intended to be derivative or amusing, its just a name that stuck, and I would rather let the music I play speak for itself.

Thanks for the feedback, let me know what you think of the mix.

Cool. As for the mix, I wasn't a fan of the vibes in the beggining, liked it a lot more from about halfway though. Sped up disco with some daft cunt blithering over the top aint my sorta sound.

haha, I didn't hear any disco, you sure you're listening to the right mix or do you just not know anything about music?

That "daft cunt blethering over the top" is actually known as "rapping" it started in the late 70's and has continued since then as one of the most influential musical formats of the modern era.

Yea it was just an exagurated way of putting it. It was nicely mixed but it just didn't sit that nicely togther to my ears. Too many effects as well, if you use them often use them subtlely, and only use extreme to punctuate sections in the mix as a drummer would use cymbols to punctuate a song.

My god, I've never heard this "rap" stuff before, how did this entire musical genre escape my attention???? Thank you for operning my eyes to this whole new world of discovery and adventure, I will be forever in your debt.
