Lots of activity at the Glade site.....

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. It's 16-19 July 2009, get those dates in your diary.

Lots of activity at the Glade site.....

Postby Fidge-uk » 06 Jul 2008, 21:36

Hi everyone,

Hope you're all as excited as i am????? Everyday when i take my daughter to school i drive pass the Wasing estate, on Friday i noticed the first lorry loads of equipment entering the site..... since then its been non stop and the sites got quite a bit of stuff on it now. I've seen an enourmous white tent/marque go up & all the mental fencing's in huge piles, its weird, but i can't stop smiling, even though its been raining all bloody day.

I've also noticed they've not grazed the fields this year..... no cow pats.... great!

it can rain all it likes between now & Glade..... just so long as Glade itself is sunny..... then i'll be happy.

Me & my mate were going to get hitched in there but we forgot to get our names down, probably a good thing really.... coz she didn't half smell by the end of the weekend!!

Hi all,

I've taken the pictures but it says their too big!! I'll have to work out how to make them smaller, which could take a while coz i'm a bit of a technophobe regarding these things...... advice or help appreciated

Pictures of Glade site activity...

Postby Fidge-uk » 07 Jul 2008, 20:44

Managed to get it right i think. I took the pictures at 19:30hrs this evening.... hopefully they're ok? I was stood at the artist's entrance where all the activity is taking place. There's fencing all around the car parking fields..... haven't seen any cattle out there yet and the grass looks as though its been mown....

I'll try to add more as the site grows..... the best bit is seeing all the flags waving...... gets really exciting seeing it come together

My uncle is one of the managers of the Wasing Estate. Shame he's not really into it all and can't see why I would want him to take some pictures of the site.

Oh nice! Wish I'd seen this last night. Gonna add the pics to our front page, if you don't mind, when I have a spare moment.

OOOh, look! They still haven't put the fence up. Maybe people without tickets could, like go in and hide in the undergrowth for 9 days.
