I think I'd better explain that muppet was playing a practical joke on the newbies.

On April Fools' Day we introduced a special command called "the you code". When this code is put in a message, the person who is reading it sees their name mentioned and thinks they are the one being talked about.But actually everyone who is logged in sees their own name. See lil-faroop-unmasked-t5123.html for more details. Basically Lil Faroop (anagram of April Fool!) posted a couple of messages using the you code and it caused mayhem until people saw the funny side.

It's a bit cruel to unleash it on newbies the day before Glade, so I thought I'd better nip this one in the bud now.
