Meteor stage

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

Great little video, nice to see all the hard work that goes into the design and build of these things. And thats not a proper full-time carpenters workshop, its far too tidy and nowhere near dusty enough ;)

The Pyromid video was cool too, great idea on the slotting-together fractal bits. Excited!

This is going to be amazing!

Does anyone know if the psy in the trees will be the Liquid Stage or a third psytrance stage (perhaps playing the third record?)

it'll be the liquid stage, and there are four records these days, but at least we have the sense not to play them all at once.

basically (mainly instrumental) hip hop with modern electronic production techniques. Slugabed is the daddy, produces some great stuff (new releases have been picked up by Ninja Tune) but he's done loads of real bass heavy mash-ups of hip hop stuff in the past.

For example:-

Cant wait for these to drop with those underfloor bass bins!

Other guys worth checking out would be Eprom for sure:-

...and basically everything released on donkypitch.

...and you've probably heard of hudson mohawke

...and Rustie

Most psy trance doenst have the <three hour euro hug all your mates and reach for the lazers> breaksdown of euro trance - but it does have enough to be annoying - NO to excessive breakdowns!

Although maybe this is the wrong thread to say such a thing - as I suppose on the Metor stage its all breakdowns - what with it being breakbeat originated music & stuff.

Ta for the info re: glich hop - so "the kids" are all mad for a ninja tunes/dub step mash ups? All sounds pleasant enough - though maybe its an age thing - or a shift in .. er .. recreationals.. but I personally find a lot of modern bass related music doesnt have much flow & I find it difficult to get into it whilst dancing - but i'll defo be coming over to check out the stage and hear it in its natural environment - I expect proper sound system chest thumping bass!
