Newstead Treefest 22nd-23th July Nr Nottingham

The joys of living in a field, sleeping in a cheap tent, braving the Portaloos and not worrying about being squeaky clean for a few days. It's festival time again!

Wouldn't have minded going to this but I've already done two festivals this month, skint now.

It's all about Blueprint mate. You get Kombination Funk which plays dnb and techno (more emphasis on dnb), Psycle which plays psy trance, and Pure Filth which is a techno and dnb night (more about the techno), Rigormortis which is a speedcore night, and Lobotomy which I think is techno and gabba, not too sure though as I've never been. Most of the nights there happen on the same weekend of each month, my personal faves are Psycle and Pure Filth.

Too right, it is all about blueprint - if it stays open! It was mysteriously boarded up for kombi funk on Friday, which the promoters only found out about at the last minute so had to cancel the night - it's all up in the air at the moment...

Fingers crossed it's only temporary :(

The bomb is a good club, owned by the same guy as Stealth, i think... not been there for a while, but worth checking out.. The lost weekend is meant to be good too, but i think its mainly hard house.
Jesus, did I say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?

The bomb closed a few years ago now, and there's been no sign of it re-opening at all unfortunately... the lost weekend have the odd interesting night on now and then still but I think whenever they try to put something that's not hard house on all the regulars go up the DJs and whinge at them

Nottingham needs a kick up the arse club-wise, sadly.
