Sound

I appreciate that there were differences, all I know is that the engineers where trying to push up the volume but where being told to bring it back down. Noise retrictions are also measured with exposure in mind..i dont know if this might be a reason or wether Overkill has casued issues in the past so where leant on heavily ths year?!

It was around 10pm on the Friday. Never disappointed when he plays - he has a habit of pulling tunes out of the bag that you haven't heard in years and have forgotten all about.

nope but it wasnt the noise boys fault....i stood there for 3 days watching them being told to turn it down...... and a word of advise to festival goers, no matter how many times you stagger up to the desk and ask if we can turn it up....the answer will always be no!!!!

Jerome played very early on Friday i believe.

Gutted i didn't make it in the end, getting up there on Saturday (as Friday was a total no-no travel wise) seemed alot of effort, after reading how the only tent i was remotely bothered about sounded terrible only justified my decision in not going.

Please, if 2008 goes ahead give Overkill a fair shot at proceedings. Every year its been on now i have had issues with the sound and the size to a lesser extent. For me, it doesn't seem fair that practically every other tent gets a fair go at it and the one tent that sound is probably more integral to the rave getting brought gets a bum deal..yet again.

Anyone who went last year will tell you that Overkill was the liveliest of all the tents on-site so it amazes me that the Glade honchos hadn't clocked this and given the tent the deserved platform from which to operate effectively.

Absolutely gutted at missing Squarepusher's sets, reports sounded great.

Definitely - admittedly I wouldn't have realised were it not for the fact that the video screens were flashing up "Jerome Hill" throughout his set :)

@ Digital Atmosphere:

I received a tex from Mike (UI) on Saturday evening saying that he was drinking a Gran Reserva 2000 Rioja.

Don't reckon he made it, he would've been doing his nut about all his kit had he been, i know that much!
