Every year we have completely cleaned our area and brought everything, to the point of madness....

this year we left everything, including the tent i borrowed, and subsequently had to pay 90 fucking quid to replace

I don't recall the Glade organisers ever saying any such thing.

People were told that at Glastonbury - but it turned out that most abandoned tents were just dumped into landfill. Some charities did accept a handful, but people were asked to leave them at special donation points and most didn't bother in the circumstances.

When you think about it, it would have taken a lot of effort to recover those tents and then get them into a usable state - probably cheaper to buy new ones in bulk, to be honest.

ah bugger, me & my group left a few tents thinking that they would get collected as well. wish i had given it more thought now

Considering the earthquake in Kashmir last year you'd've thought the Red Cross would be scouring for decent tents really, even considering the bulk costs - you can get volunteers to collect tents but you can't get them to make them at short notice.

i packed my tent up at 5am monday morning. All our rubbish was left in bin bags in a big pile as per previous years :)

There was an awful lot of stuff left in the mud / on the floor, you can blame people for leaving stuff behind, gathering stuff up in the rain/mud isnt too much fun, but if you bag it up as you go along like we did, its not too bad

I left my pop up tent....which the zips had bust on (thanks to Claire I think from camp GT for the Tape which helped keep me dry)

In hindsight I should have taken it back with me as it had a 2 year guarantee on it! Oh well....it was £55 and i got 2 festivals out of it!!! Not too bad I suppose!!!

Definitely a good idea to bring it - I went to get some on the Saturday and both Joe Bananas and the shop had sold out!
I've got feelings of anxiety, me.

i cleaned up our spot and put everything in black binliners. i hadf to leave them behidn though, although i did spend half an hour picking up fag butts from the area around us. the people next to us left so much shit. i ended up cleaning it up cos my hands were muddy anyways. i thought it was better to at least clean up everything so all the litter pickers had to do was take the bin liners away. i did see some reall disguisting places though, and it is rediculous how some people cant use bin liners. or at least try and clean soem of their mess up :s SORT IT OUT PEOPLE! theres already gonna be enough shti in the wasing estate buiried in mud now you could have at least helped to clean the surfACE.
