I don't recall the Glade organisers ever saying any such thing.
People were told that at Glastonbury - but it turned out that most abandoned tents were just dumped into landfill. Some charities did accept a handful, but people were asked to leave them at special donation points and most didn't bother in the circumstances.
When you think about it, it would have taken a lot of effort to recover those tents and then get them into a usable state - probably cheaper to buy new ones in bulk, to be honest.

That shit really pisses me off. I gave the guy a death stare.. (I have been started on in Glasgow for telling someone to pick up their litter!
