Online I would recommend http://www.kinetec.co.uk and http://www.bangingtunes.com/ for all your techno needs.
In real life I used to go to the record shop at the front of the accessallareas shop on Kentish town road but this seems to have disappeared.
Rough Trade in Covent Garden and on the web has all sorts of weirdness on CD and Vinyl including the likes of shitmat enduser bongra scotch egg ceephax loads of stuff on warp, rephlex etc which should appeal to some of you lot.

Why not pm Benwrongun? If he doesn't know, then Henry should sack him! ;)

Good stuff. :)

Been meaning to ask about the mp3s, Jimmy. Do many people go around file-sharing them, seeing as there's no DRM, or do you find people in the breaks community have more respect than that?

I've just been paid for the first time in half a year and am about to buy some records.
Because I've been poor so long I haven't kept much track on releases in the past few months so any sugestions from the idm/breakcore/gabba enthusiasts?

DR BASTARDO!!! BUY IT NOW he is from brighton, on the wrong music label i think, i got a copy of his album last time i was in brighton its sickness. check out his myspace :)

apart from that ive not bought a lot of breakcore in the last few months, mainly spent my money on lots of ragga jungle and hardtek. <3

oh yeah and in brighton theres a really sick record shop - i cant remember what its called ill find out. its above a clothes shop and is full of filthy breakcore. the other good shop has shut down though (my mate who took me said there was a ragga jungle section :( oh how ive missed out on giving them a nice profit)

http://www.gabber.od.au (this is amazing! but still keep buying tunes too of course)
for listening to clips of tunes i reckon switchrec.com is best. I always listen to stuff on there and then buy it on dswat.
Btw i ordered records from urban-decay and they took over a month to reply. Didnt post them for AGES and told me it was because he only worked 2 days a week or something? I was not impressed.

I'd recommend Teknoist's label Ninja Columbo. I'm not massively inot gabba myself but I really like Dolphin & Teknoist's stuff (and the Scheme Boy EP is a belter too).

all hail the schemeboy, did ye see em at the bday bang? that was speacilnm

The one i mainly use is http://www.redeyerecords.co.uk cos it has pretty damn good prices, especially in their special offers stuff. Really good for dnb and dubstep, got a bit of harder stuff aswell (although its categorised under the blanket heading nurave/hardcorebreaks), the main reason i love it is cos the delivery time is fantastic, last week i ordered a couple of records i'd been wanting for a while at about 7pm thursday night, i got em by 1pm the next day! so i reccommend it if your ever in a rush :)

redeyerecords is possibly the best i've used so far, great selection for dnb and dubstep, and they sometimes go a bit further than that, i've got boxcutter stuff off there, a couple of venetian snares albums too. delivery is awesome as well

aswell as the internet sites i regularly shop at..dswat, hard to find, juno, chemical, redeye, (sure they've all been mentioned!) plus possiblemusic in berlin (great site but i had a bit of trouble with it) these are the stores i shop at in cities i've lived in since i started collecting vinyl (under a year!)

manchester - fat city records - hip hop/breaks/reggae/ragga jungle/scatch tools
eastern bloc - drum n bass/dubstep/house/electro/techno
vinyl exchange - hip hop/jungle/dnb/old skool/techno/punk/metal/house/electro/nu jazz/soul

newcastle upon tyne - beatdown records!!! this record shop and the guys who run it are fucking WICKED. there's now two shops one selling metal and rock, punk etc and the other selling everything else...drum and bass/dubstep/breakcore/gabber/house/electro/hip hop/techno and tons more. the guys are well friendly and always sort me out with a bit of discount when i'm there. best record shop in the UK me thinks! also won an award this year.

brighton - edgeworld - never been here coz couldn't find it but i hear it sells breakcore/jungle etc (gutted!)
rarekind - hip hop and a bit of dnb and jungle
the other one on the same street as rarekind (!) i popped my skull in to ask if they had any dnb and was told they didn't..from what i could see it's all house and electro etc
rounder records - drum n bass/hip hop/house/techno

edinburgh - underground solushun - hip hop/scratch tools/breaks/dubstep/drum n bass/house/soul/techno.. little bit of old skool and jungle mixed in with the dnb section too which is nice!

bristol - moving here on monday so i've yet to check it out proper but the obvious ones are...
dswat!
DMT sounds
chemical records
rooted records

if i can think of anymore i'll add 'em.
inabit! X

main sites i seem to be using are dswat, boomkat, switchrec, rubadub but apart from those

http://www.alphabasic.com/index2.htm
Benn Jordan, The Flashbulbs label, shops a bit empty at the mo but they have some nice rareities & exclusives

http://suburbantrash.c8.com/
lots of variety, pretty good prices aswell

http://praxis.c8.com/catalog/index.php
very good like dswat but in euros

http://www.normanrecords.com/
good variety, prices & postage

http://www.thehardstoremp3.com/default.asp?
ninja columbo store i think, takes you to the mp3 store but they do sell vinyl

http://sozialistischer-plattenbau.org/catalog/index.php?osCsid=2dc66fb8a2796f3462dc2cbe1c4afa40
istari Lasterfahrer's label, lots of nice hard to find stuff here at reasonable prices

http://hardwax.com/

Might as well stock up on some decent vinyl while I'm down in London. Can anyone recommend some good secondhand vinyl shops that specialise in Rave/Glade/BF type genres?

There's a place near sister ray in Soho. I can't remember the name but if you face the front of sisterray records in soho and turn left down the street it should be on your right before you start getting to the seedy parts of soho. If I remember it's near a subway sandwich shop.

http://www.welovelocal.com/en/london/we ... 1f8rp.html

There's a few record shops on that street, you'll definitely find something amongst those genres in sister-ray, probably the best in London if you ask me.
