What a weekend!
Massive respect to Saint Acid and everyone involved behind the scenes, everything was wicked. Loads of quality sets, really good vibe and really good people - meeting ravers from all over the world was particularly enjoyable. Had some fantastic random encounters, (big up Ruth and grimey Graham). Bang face TV was brilliant, Normski (get him back on telly) and Wrong TV were hilarious. Really good security and plenty of banging chalet raves (massive shout to the people who threw the old school hardcore rave in 353 - one of my highlights!) The weather and beach were awesome too.
Disappointments were few and far between and hardly worth mentioning. The neandthanderthal bar staff on Sunday in the Queen Vic were particularly infuriating. The heat and stench in the Bang room, particularly on Sunday was almost unbearable but could hardly be helped with a couple of thousand raving mentallists and poor ventillation. Not a great choice of food for veggies, but it hardly mattered considering the physical state we were in. The only other big disappointment was how quickly it was all over.
Overall the best event i've ever been to in terms of music. Favourite sets for me were Altern-8, Remarc and Beardyman. The vibe wasn't quite as good as camping festivals though because there wasn't that sense of togetherness 24 hours a day, however the benefits of a chalet were obviously more felt in a different way. (Although did anyone else feel like having a shower and kitchen etc brought you back to reality much more than when camping?)
Bring on more rinsing bumbaclaart gabba rave bombs next year please. I'll be looking forward to how such an impressive lineup can possibly be followed up without having loads of the same people playing again, but to be honest I'd blatently still go if it was exactly the same bill.

If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - for ever
