Yeah, didn't anyone notice all the Chinese diplomats, International Olympic Committee officials and other such dignitaries that were swarming all over the Glade Festival? Wasn't the world watching as this stunt was being beamed around the world on live television?![]()
Now, in contrast, here's a meaningful protest about Tibet: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/ ... 468263.ece

I don't see the harm the stunt at Glade caused. Just because it wasn't on TV or in the media it still can raise awareness. Sometimes things like the flag incident at a festival can make me stop and think for a bit. Even for people who don't know what the flag is can see it again in the media and be reminded of Glade which can in turn perhaps make you look into the issue and get on your soapbox yourself.
Sorry to sound a bit arsey but any form of protesting is good imo. Too many people take the attitude that "it's not worth it" or "what difference will it make" If everyone took that attitude then we would all be stripped of the few rights as human beings we have left.

any form of protesting is good imo
Does that include the Countryside Alliance demonstrating for the return of hunting with hounds? Anti-abortionists picketing clinics? BNP supporters on a "send 'em back" march? If not, why not? They are all forms of protesting.
