Searches / Camping area

Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Now based at a stately home in Norfolk.

If you put a large inflatable butt plug at the top of your bag their unlikely to want to delve any deeper!

I'm hiding a miniature thermonuclear warhead in my sleeping bag, and am hoping they don't spot Joshua.

Danny Baker once did a phone in on what stuff people had got into football grounds.. some guy went to a Bury match straight from work, as a chef, with a full set of chef's knives. When questioned by security - he just explained he was on his way back from work - and was waived in...

I arrived on site around 12:30pm thursday, no queues. I was fully laden with EVERYTHING I needed for the festival (I hate going back to the car for anything even though this wasnt much of a walk).

Security were friendly, they asked if I was carrying anything I shouldnt be and if I had any alcohol. I showed them my personal allowance which they were happy with, and they searched through a number of my bags before waving me through.

It was a *fairly* thorough search, but not completely thorough.....

Had similar and was a bit later than this, may be 1. Bag was packed pretty tightly and wasn't opened but had to point out were the booze was and a quick count was done to check personnel allowance, it was in a separate part of bag so easier to get to.
Cheers
Matt

We did try to start a "Madeleine!" shout (as an updated version of the "Alan!" one from the previous year) but it didn't catch on. That was back in 2007. How times fly, eh?

Oops, I should have written "Allan". We had a guy come on who insisted that he was the actual person being shouted for and got quite precious about the spelling of his name. :D
