seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed!

Had such a great time at Glade, best 3 days of my life there was only one complaint and that was the few hours of too quiet music on the friday, hopefully that wont happen again, but other than that it was just perfect i cant stop thinking about the great time i had, i dont think i will forget it for a very long time.

Met some really cool people (more than i have at any other festi), LOVED the music, such a great variety, fav sets go to

autechre- dark, trippy heavy and original loved getting my brain mashed up by this set
lee burridge- best house set of the weekend so hypnotic and not one track i didnt love
Dreadzone- great fun, they created a great party atmosphere, even if i couldnt understand any of the comments he made in between sets!
Red snapper- This was such a refreshing set and being a fan of a lot other style of music than just dance it was really amazing and one of the reasons i think glade is so good. The saxaphone was wonderfully soothing and the bass was just something else, the way he gets that tone is a mystery to me and the speed and accuracy where spot on. Cant wait to listen to there new album, which seemed a lot more dancey than the previous stuff on the set.
Eat static- loved the trippy downtempo first half then the fast drum and bass of the second half
dj scotch egg- had a great laugh jumping around like i was trying to put a fire out to this set
whoever it was that played the black metal/breakcore set straight after scotch egg- which it was great fun picking up my mate and starting a mosh pit to.
Claude von stroke- great minamal techno set
Gaudi live dub laboratory- really great thick sound with some brilliant bassy remixes

a lot of the breaks on the friday was also very good, not sure who i saw tho as was the techno special on the origin stage.

Ah wish i was back there now I was really happy with the size as well it was just right, not too hard to find friends and you end up bumping into the new people you have met all weekend making the atmopshere that much more intimate. Hopefully they will be able to sort out the problems with the sound, whatever it was that caused it, and there where a few points where the security were a bit over the top on the door with a friend who got everything taken out of his bag and even his sandwiches opened up! But while inside the security were really low key and seemed to do a good job.

any favorite/ funny moments?

Now this is the sort of thread I want to see on the Wednesday after when Im feeling a little low

Totally agree on the size this year was perfect just kept bumping into people we had met and meeting a fair few new peps all over the shop, really friendly woop. The thing that kept on supprising me was the amount of space you had to dance anywhere in the tents you were, even though they were smaller you could still get to the front on the majority of sets and have a proper boogy/jump around I think this is very important and Glade have got it just right this year :)

Top one. Nice one. Get sorted.

If you have any useless mates who are still dithering about coming to Glade, show them this article: http://www.ravetalk.co.uk/glade-festival-2009.shtml

the black metal/breakcore set was the almighty Marousa
crazy mad fun

lol, in reference to the song: Jesus! Maybe he had been listening to a car alarm while tripping and that is what he heard.

I also agree on having the space to dance being really important, you cant get stuck in if your packed tight into a tent. I wonder what they will do with it next year in regards to size, obviously they have to try and make enough money from it as well and im not sure how viable it is with less tickets sold.

Been feeling rough all week am slowly coming back to being human again, is so worth it tho as this might last a few days but the memories will last a very long time. Hows everyone else feeling?
