mine just came off now. SNAP! to all of you: now we're in the same boat. i work as a baker and it's been well hard to keep it on. work told me i had to take it off coz of working in catering, n i was like, blah-blah-bangles-blah-equality-blah-blah-religious-items-blah, so as a compromise i had to wear truly the most ridiculous sleeve thing in accordance with gay-ass health and safety, in case it fell off into the dough-mix, hahaha.

i also really understand about hazards of bangface wristbands. this girl i was sleeping with had piercings on her hips and it kept catching and threatening to liberate metal from skin. very painful!

I think it would be pretty cool to find a bangface wristband in your breakfast loaf

Doing all kinds of ridiculous things to make sure it stays intact.

It's a bit roughed up though. Over 2 months!

I even started a log, The Day in the life of a Bangface Wristband that I chronicle all the daily events that surround me taking care of it.

:D :wackyhat: :panic:

Check out my latest blog entry, Bangface Wristband RIP

http://words.raisecain.net

Image Image
My Bangfacewristband snapped off on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. It was on its last thin plastic thread, and in a drunken haze I whipped off my sweater and it came right off, landing on the kitchen table. I am glad my bf was with me, he was there when the memento had lost its life with me. It's on a shelf now, all lonesome. It did last 101 days! His didn't last as long, but his job deals with sound equipment and heavy lifting. I think it was yoga asana's that did mine in. All the wrist stretching - it would pull at the wristband, always. We had some good times together, the wristband and I. The first days, when I would shower awkwardly lifting up my right arm out of the water's way. The time I went swimming with my brother and had my wrist out the whole time because I was afraid of getting too much moisture inside it, until my brother would chase me around to get me under; he never succeeded besides a few splashes. Whenever I'd be fucking, if my bf would hold my wrists I'd have to wiggle my way out and remind him, "Bangface," to which he'd grin and totally understand. With yoga it was the most challenging, because in downward dog my wrists get bent a lot and it's the most often done pose, or with bridge. I'd get nervous, sliding it up and down the small perimeter of my wrist. Comments would come every time I went out, "You still wearing the bracelet. You are amazing." I'm not so amazing, Bangface is so amazing. It became like one of those medi-bracelets. I depended on it for everything. Life would get me down, I'd just look down at my wristband. In the final stages before orgasm, just look at the bracelet. Too drunk to know where I was, bracelet served as my mini-GPS.

Goodbye to you Bangface Wristband. April 25-Aug 6, 2008. RIP.

Straight up!

At work I've gone against health and safety rules and a lot of complaints from my manager to keep my Glade and Glastonbury wristbands on. But as we know health and safety can fuck off.

When I had my Bface wristband on, a customer actually asked me "Whats that Bangface thing then?"

Bad times, for some reason my wrist hates this years wristband. On the Sunday I started coming up with a rash around it but have been determined not to take it off. I've now got some proper scummy (and painful) patches on my wrist so after lots of abuse from my friends about how stupid I am, I think i'm going to have to cut it off :(
Proper shit cause my Glade ones irritating it aswell now, but i'm hoping that won't have to go!

As with all wrist bands, mine is off as soon as I get home and showered. Im not meant to wear anything like that at work anyway, and for me it also helps to get back into reality :fear:
